Excellent spec and value for money - 08 Aug 2007

This is ideal for a bedroom tv and for gaming. 1080p input, 2 x HDMI and component (future proof), fast response time. Freeview built in and card slot for getting the footie on Setanta. I find the digitial tuner very good even though I live in a poor reception area. The main advantage over the competition is how slim it is which is very important if you are wall mounting. By buying a slim bracket from imount and cutting away the plasterboard to reveal the brick or studding you can get the screen protruding as little as 90mm into the room which is truly excellent for a screen of this size.

This is a great bedroom TV. It has all the connections that you could need and even has a top up TV port.
The picture quality is good if you are viewing it from exactly the right angle. If you are not looking at the screen straight on then the picture is noticeably darker or lighter than it should be. This is not as apparent on other models that i have subsequently looked at.
The sound is again adequate for a bedroom model, no real depth to the sound but it will satisfy most people (including me).
All in all though i would say stick with your CRT televisions until you have some HD sources to watch and then make sure that you go for a 1080p ready TV. I have no great regrets in buying this TV but don't be as hasty as i was.
