Very Good, a little room for improvement. - 07 Mar 2008

Really impressed with the telly, great picture spot on as a monitor also. As others have mentioned, the speakers arn't much good, they are ok for TV soap and pc 'noises' but no good for music or movies. However, who ever expected to get great sound from tv speakers, i hooked mine straight into my amp, and now the sound is great. The output for sound is only a 3.5mm headphone jack so you will need adaptor for this.
The TV has a good range of inputs, but only one scart, so no freeview box and DVD player on scart, unless your DVD or Freeview box has Component and/or Composite outputs (this TV has both! on top of RGB and DVI). Or just run DVD's through your PC.
I Suppose really it would have been nice to buy Integrated DTV, but i know of people who have, and they seem much less reliable (freezing etc.) than my Set Top Box, plus the STB has a better channel guide and menu. On this subject the remote brings up an input menu you you then select the input you want, which you cannot re-name yourself, and a button to go straight to the inbuilt Analogue TV tuner, which as ATV goes out over the next few years will become obsolete. I would rather get rid of all the number buttons (i dont need to change the channel if im using a STB) and replace with 'quick' buttons straight to all the inputs.
All in all, this TV/Monitor is great value for money (we now have 2 in the house and would not hesitate to buy more when needed) There are the niggles i explained as best i can, but lets remember this is a 19" widescreen at a great price - which i have still not seen beaten anywhwere else and as both TV and Monitor it does a great job.

I bought this from the highstreet for the same price as amazon to replace a Wharfedale L19T11W-A bought a few weeks earlier which developed speaker hiss and was rubbish compared to this in terms of picture quality. I'm using it as a bedroom tv with a digibox and I'm very happy with it. The picture quality is excellent, clean with good contrast. Skin tones look really natural. The speakers aren't good but it is only a monitor, I'll be hooking it up to seperate speakers soon but I think it's a real bargin. I really like the swivelling base which allows easy access to cables at the back.

No complaints about screen as monitor or TV. Looks nice, easy instructions on the CD supplied, so for the price it was worth the purchase. Images coming through clean on both set ups.

I ordered this once and received a monitor that has already been returned once! The image flickered intermittently. I sent that back and received a new one. It worked when I plugged it in but after ten minutes the sound disappeared and has never returned so it has gone back again and I have cancelled the order. The specification is fantastic and the adaptability is great. It is a fully tunable TV, a computer monitor and a games monitor. The image quality is great but the sound is very tinny (when it works). PS to customner who asked: The TV will tune to terrestrial channels but you need a digibox to get freeview etc.

The speaker quality is not what I expected for £160. It would make a good PC monitor but for me it falls short as a TV. I also use an Infra Red receiver to connect to a Sky Box down stairs. It did not relay this is consistent quality.
I recommend this as a PC monitor with additional speakers but advise you to buy a out and out TV. I don't agree with one of the reviews that tinny speaker quality is to be expected from a flat screen TV. I have a 26inch and the quality is excellent.
