I have purchased Philips for many years out of loyalty. The screen has failed after 14 months, I found their help line OK, their support line sent me to an agent 45 mins away when one that I was subsequently refered to by that agent was actually 15 mins from me. They have told me it looks like a major failure, white raster is the sympton. Interestingly the first agent said ' we get a lot of these back around 15 - 18 months'........I am still waiting for the final report as I intend to pursue Philips as I do not see this product as fit for purpose. Not happy wasted lots of time, no TV for 2 wks, this experience and its final outcome will define my relationship with the brand.

We bought this TV thinking it was a tip-top, darn-tooting, sure-fire bet (what with it being Philips and all, and being £350 at the time). But low and behold, it broke within 12 months (10 days after the 1-Year warranty expired - a coincidence? Je ne sais pas...). We were minding our own business, watching TV, then the screen just went all funny. And it stayed like that. We're waiting to hear what Philips has to say.... not happy bunnies.

I am now on my third one of these. The first ones screen deteriorated after fifteen months. I thought this was a fluke so did not have a problem with buying a second. Four months later the second ones bass speakers started to rattle. My experience since with Philip's after sales service is woeful and as such I can only wonder if my experience as to their questionable build quality is common place. Buy another brand.

ok first off....IT DOES NOT HAVE COMPONENT IN!!!! it has component out via a cable through the DV-I, i bought this TV so i could play my 360 in HD, only to discover that i had to then buy seperate adapter for it to work....that said, its still a great TV, virtual dolby is awesome, clear picture, nice good viewing angles, and even with the seperate adapter it was cheaper than most Tv's of this size!!

I bought this TV based on good reviews read here on Amazon for this size and its bigger brother. The picture is great and my Wii looks great on it too. Its great value also, similar ones from other brands seem to be £150 - £250 more expensive.
It could be that I'm used to a 14" little square TV in my bedroom but this is much bigger than I imagined it could be because the speakers are on the side, just something to bear in mind if you have a fairly small space!
