I have to give this 5 stars because there is nothing that I can mark it down on. The TV is very good! Lots of my friends have large LCD and Plasma TVs that are much, much more expensive than this and I can confidently say this TV's picture and sound is just as good, if not better.
The specs say it does not do 1080p, but unltimately when are you going to notice the differnce between 1080p and 1080i, which is does do. Maybe in a decade or so, when all the channels start to be transmitted in 1080p.
With regards to the Amazon service,brilliant!

It was so close to being 5*........... the reason it is only 4* is because the 1st TV had to go back becasue it was faulty.... but the Amazon Customer Service (thanks to John Cullen) was fantastic... definitely 5*.....
Originally ordered TV & a TV stand at 13:30 on Fri 29th Feb and both were delivered at 10:30am on Sat 1st March..... beat that for service...
Unfortunately when set up the TV had a black/blue/red/green line from the top to the bottom of the screen about 2" in from the right hand side.
Because it was a Saturday I put up with this all weekend - the picture quality was excellent apart from that....... and at 8:00am on Monday morning got in touch with Amazon - spoke to John...... who immediately offered me a replacement or cash refund..... no arguments, no making me feel as if I had done anything wrong.... just good old customer service...
John phoned me back 3 times during the day to give me a progress report - and new telly arrived at 11:20 this morning (again within 24hrs)... must admit I had to dash home from work when I realised via tracker it was on its way...... it was set up and working correctly (this time) by 11:30...
Now its set up the picture quality and sound on this TV is every bit as good as other reviews have pointed out.........

WOW! .... after having had a cheapy version from A*** and not being pleased at all i.e. piture clarity hazy voice not in time with the picture, sound very fuzzy and a remote control which seemed like it had been invented by chimps I had had enough, I got on to my PC searched out the best deal with a Sony product to match my Sony video and DVD recorder.
I have to say I am not disappointed with my choice it is such a good TV, its like going into a store and seeing something which when you get it home doesnt seem quite the same, only difference this is better the clearest picture I have ever seen, a sound system which makes it seem as though the orchestra is in the room with you,a remote control which is very user friendly and only needs the slightest of touches and so many 'plug in goodies for your PC,Surround Sound,Camcorder etc makes the total price for this quality item very good value for money indeed.

I have ordered this TV from amazon on 20th Feb(20/02/2008) morning and received it by 21st Morning. Delieverd just in a day (i went with amazon to buy TV because currys delivery time was 28 days). Excellent delivery by Amazon.
As mentioned by others, this TV is easy to set up (just 5 minutes) and the picture clarity is really great. I cant find any negative remarks to reduce the star rating for this class product with such a class delivery.

This is my first decent TV, had a little 12inch before! easy to set up, just plug in your stuff and it does it all. Best thing about it is connecting my xbox 360 via HDMI cable, absolute quality graphics!!! Cheaper than just about every shop in your local high street, well happy.
